You know that fake plastic grass that goes into Easter baskets? Don’t leave it where your cat can get at it. If he decides to chew and swallow it, it can cause a dangerous intestinal obstruction that requires surgical removal. You’ll know something’s wrong. Your pet will start drooling, vomiting, having diarrhea, or straining to have a bowel movement.
While you’re at it, keep the Easter lilies out of reach, too. Even chewing just a little bit can make a cat seriously ill — to the point of life-threatening kidney complications. All lilies should be off limits to your cat.
